Here’s a mound of flowers in the gardens of Versailles. The gardens were huge and beautiful. They also had a lot of giant hedgerows. It’s strange to think about, but I would definitely consider myself a “hedgerow guy,” whatever that means. We also got into a discussion about how much crap you can talk if you’re the gardener Versailles. I just picture a lot of crusty old gardeners sitting around a bar drinking beer, discussing planting techniques, and one guy is saying “What’s that, you got your geraniums to bloom? That’s great, but we don’t really have those in the Versailles gardens.”
